On each corner of e-Beach Wagon, there are two aluminum tubes lined vertically, built into the frame. During transport, these tubes hold the railings in place. However, once the wagon is parked, you may remove the railings and use the tubes to hold your umbrella, flagpole, or fishing rods. Simply slide your pole through the tube and bury the end a few inches into the sand, and you’re set!
Salt water can be very corrosive. Which is why e-Beach Wagon’s frame and other components are aluminum. Since aluminum is naturally resistant to corrosion, the wagon will not rust and the unit will last longer. Aluminum is also lighter than steel, making the wagon easier to handle and allowing you to get the most mileage out of each charge. In addition, the powder coating is more durable than paint, keeping your wagon looking brand new for years to come.
The railings are designed to prevent your gear from falling out during transport. Once you’ve arrived at your destination, the railings can be easily removed to simplify unloading your gear, and to convert the wagon into a seated bench. With the railings removed, the wagon also becomes easier to pack in the back of an SUV, van, or truck.
The side railings are depressed in the middle, forming a cavity to accommodate wider items such as: surfboards, paddle boards, kayaks, tent frames, rafts, etc. Simply pack your wagon, lay your items perpendicular to the side railings (inside the depressions), bungee cord the items down, and off you go!
e-Beach Wagon’s bed is made of plastic to withstand the weather, as well as the routine pounding of heavy gear. For convenient cleaning, remove the fastener pins, pop off the bed, and hose off or rinse under water. The removable bed also provides easy access to the electrical and mechanical components, simplifying future maintenance.
Traveling over dunes, sand, and multi-terrains can be difficult. Which is why e-Beach Wagon is equipped with low-pressure balloon tires that run slightly flat to provide a wide surface area. The tires are made from polyurethane – a soft, durable material that conforms to almost any terrain. The balloon tires work excellent on sand and they’re also compatible with mud, turf, asphalt, concrete, gravel, and more.
For added security, e-Beach Wagon requires a key to be inserted to start the unit, and to turn the switch from “off” to “on”. This feature makes it difficult for someone to steal your wagon. Additionally, in the off position, the motor has resistance built in, making it difficult for someone to drag the wagon away. Each wagon comes with a set of two keys.
The phone and device charger comes standard on all e-Beach Wagons. Two USB ports are located on the control panel, making it possible for two phones or two electronic devices to charge at the same time. This accessory is weatherproof and comes equipped with a protective cover to prevent outside elements from getting inside. Additionally, the wagon has an LED indicator that displays how much battery power remains with each charge. So you can ensure you have enough juice to get home.
The wagon’s battery charger is located on the control panel. The port consists of a three-pin female connector and a cover to protect it from outside elements. A 24-volt charging cord is included with the wagon. To charge, simply plug one end of the cord into an electrical wall socket and the other end into the charging port on the wagon. The two-color LED indicator lamp glows red when charging and green when charging is complete. The charger stops when the batteries are fully charged.
Located by the hand grip, the thumb throttle is used simultaneously as the wagon is steered. The throttle provides variable speed control to match the walking pace of the driver. The further you push the throttle down, the faster your e-Beach Wagon will go. The top speed of the wagon is 3.5 mph. Once the throttle is released, the wagon will come to a complete stop.
Located next to the thumb throttle on the handlebar is the the forward and reverse switch. Switching from forward to reverse is as easy as pressing a button up or down. This is beneficial when navigating sharp turns or tight spaces. Direction can be changed without missing a beat. Additionally, when going down hills, there is a neutral position between forward and reverse that provides resistance in the motor from keeping the wagon from running away.
Sand and salt water can wreak havoc on the wagon’s internal electrical and mechanical components. Therefore, the batteries, controller, motor, sprockets, and chain are completely enclosed in a weatherproof compartment located under the wagon bed. This ensures that the components are protected and that the unit will operate properly for years to come with minimal maintenance.
Two 12-volt sealed lead acid batteries are connected to produce 24-volts of power to e-Beach Wagon. Each battery is 22 amp-hours, which allows the wagon to pull your gear for as long as you need it to. The batteries provide more than enough power for any trip across a sandy beach with plenty of juice leftover to charge your cell phone, tablet, and other electronic devices.
All electrical components are wired through the 24-volt, 500-watt, 30-amp speed controller – the brain of e-Beach Wagon. The controller supports all functionality of the features described while protecting the motor and batteries from potentially harmful electrical conditions. The controller is sized right to provide the power output and functionality you need, while minimizing the cost and maximizing the life cycle.
